Different Scan Settings of Kaspersky Antivirus 2015

Antivirus is designed to scan the system to identify and remove malicious software, virus, worms and other dangerous objects. Change Scan Security Level

Open Kaspersky program and click on the settings link below.
Then in the Settings window, click Scan option and then select the security level from the right side.
The following three options are there:
o High: High level of security provides comprehensive protection that you need in case of high infection risk but let me tell you that this level of 
security will reduce your system performance.

o Recommended: It provide optimal protection, this security level is selected by default.
o Low: Here the security level is really low, but this increases your system performance.
Once you are done, close the window.

Create a Scan Schedule

Open your antivirus application and go to settings.
In the settings window, click on Scan.
Then select schedule scan link and choose the option: Full scan/ Quick scan/ Vulnerability scan.
The scan schedule dialog box will appear, select the Schedule option (manually/ Everyday/ Every weekday/ every weekend/ weekly/ monthly)
For options other than manually, specify the condition of the schedule. You need to specify the day of the week or month and the time of scan.
And finally in Scan schedule dialog box, click save.

Specify Actions to Be Taken On Threat Detection

In the Kaspersky setting link, click Scan and then select an “Action on threat detection”.
o Select action automatically
o Prompt when scan is complete
o Prompt on detection
o Disinfect
o Disinfect, delete if disinfection fails
o Inform
o Delete
After the selection close the application.

Configure Removable drive scan

In the Kaspersky settings window, click the scan option.
Then select the option in the section “Scan removable drive on connection”:
o Prompt for action
o Do not scan
o Quick scan
o Full scan
o Full scan of device with volume less than 64GB.
After making a choice, exit the application.

Create a List of Objects for Scanning

Again go to the Settings link as mentioned above and click on scan.
Then click on scan scope link and select either Full scan or Quick scan.
In scan scope dialog box, check the boxes of required objects and to add a new object click on Add button.
After that in the “Select file or folder” dialog box, select your needed object and press Ok.
To remove an object from scan scope, click Remove link opposite to that particular object.
Note: you can only remove objects that are added manually.

Close “Configure scan scope” window and then exit the application.
